Recent Utkal train derailment reminded us of frequent railway accident. India loss many life's every year to rail accident. And continue accident after every few months shows that not much improvement has been made. Reason for such accident are

1.Use of obsolete technology in railway like no-anti collission system

4.No private investment allowed---thus it is run more as social service rather than commercial enterprise thus hinder efficiency.

8 Key result area(KRA) appraisal system for senior officials

1.Commercial working with responsive to the need of the passenger----thus making it accountable to them

2.Dedicated fund for improvement of safety norm be implemennted in its spirit

4.reform in railway board---as recommendedd by various committee like Kakodkar committee 

5.Technology--Use of automatic fracture detection system as under development by IIT Madras, Derailment detection device by IIT Kanpur

6.Upgrading infrastructure like tracks etc
