Sol-

With India being the biggest democracy of the world,  it should represent an ideal democracy as well. To make India ideal or better democracy various election reforms are needed,  along with VVPAT(voter verifiable paper audit trail)  recently announced by ECI for upcoming gujarat election. These reforms are suggested by Dinesh Goswami committee for election reforms

1.Making Election Commission of india expenditure charged on consolidated fund of India as of UPSC
2.Making removal procedure of Election commissioner other than chief election commission similar to chief election commission
3.Having tenure of Election Commissioner being fixed
4.Restriction on Joining politics after being member of Election  Commission
5.Providing state funding for election,  thus reducing influence of money in politics.

Recent Steps taken to improve election procedure are
1.debaring the convicted MP/MLA from fighting election for 6 years after the conviction get over
2.Making payment to parties by private/corporates through electoral bonds
3.Introduction of EVM(electronic voting machine)  at all India level
4.Making it mandatory for the election candidate to disclose their assets and education qualification.

India is an example of democracy for other developing countries like in Africa and to continue act as guidance for others and for the welfare of the people, election reform need to be initiated to make India a world largest ideal democracy
